1. What was the importance of rebuilding the temple before the rebuilding of the city or the walls or the gates?
2. Sometimes we seek our ambitions before seeking the Lord. What does scripture teach us about the importance of seeking the Lord first? ( Matthew 6:26-34)
3. How is the “soul” of a person like the walls of a city? How can a damaged soul be effectively rebuilt?
4. Why is the rebuilding of the sheep gate first of importance? Why do we need the protection of the good Shepherd?
5. The enemies of the Jews begin to criticize and threaten the work of Nehemiah. How does he handle it? Has a similar thing ever happened to you? How did you handle it?
