10/2/22 – Growing up
 
“you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”  1 Peter 2:5
 
 
There is a definite parallel in the growth processes of our physical/spiritual lives
 
We are Born…………….of the spirit (John 3:3)
 
We Open our eyes…….of faith (2Corinthians 5:7-17)
 
We Grow………………….with the milk of the word of God (1 Peter 2:2)
 
We Crawl…………………making forward progress with Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14)
 
We Stand Up……………against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18)
 
We Walk………………….in Spirit, in the light (Galatians 5:26, 1 John 1;7)
 
We begin to Eat………..solid food (Hebrews 5:14)
 
We Speak………………..forth the words of Christ (Luke 21:14-15)
 
We Run…………………..with endurance the race that is before us ( Hebrews 12)
 
We Wrestle…………….against powers and principalities  (Ephesians 6:13)
 
We Rest………………….in our salvation (Hebrews 4:11)
